Miss Tianna May- Melton: Owner, Instructor
Miss Tianna has been dancing for 30+ years and teaching for 20. She received training from various dance studios and danced competitively both on the regional and national levels. She was also a member of the Greater Lansing Ballet Company where she studied under Barbara Banakikowski Smith and also received training with Ballet Magnificat. Tianna graduated from Calvin College with a degree in psychology and dance. She has a heart for those with special needs and has created dance programs for many local studios and churches. She Introduced "Joy In Motion" to the community, which is a nonprofit division of Integrity that offers free dance lessons to students with disabilities.
Miss Hope Welch: Jazz, Contemporary, Ballet Instructor
Miss Hope has been dancing for 25 years and teaching for 13. She has been trained in ballet, jazz, contemporary, modern, tap and folk. Miss Hope trained with Lori Ladwig at the Jackson Ballet Company for many years and then later at the Greater Lansing Ballet Company with Barbara Banakikowski Smith. Miss Hope graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in psychology and a health promotion specialization. While there she also studied Laban and Modern dance. Miss hope also has a Master's in Psychology and is our Outreach Team Director.
Miss Jasmine Gerard: Tap Instructor
Miss Jasmine is a budding artist, choreographer, and voice in the dance industry in West Michigan. Jasmine has been dancing various styles & sharing her passion in dance for 18 yrs, seeking to bring all surrounding her closer to Christ. Jasmine specializes in tap dance, having trained under worldwide professionals including Savion Glover, Star Dixon, Sam Weber, Jason Janas, and more. She performed and was a dance captain in Tap 24.7's production of TAPSpeak in 2019. One of Jasmine's greatest joys is working with interested dancers of all ages and empowering them to achieve personal goals.
Miss Isabella Ensworth: Preschool Instructor
Miss Isabella has been dancing for 15+ years and is proficient in Tap, Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and Modern. She trained at various studios and has danced competitively at national levels. She was a semi-professional dancer for Jimmy John’s Field and a member of Detroit Tap Repertory. She is currently studying Elementary Education and Dance at Hope College. She is currently a dancer for StrikeTime, a pre-professional dance company at Hope College. She has a passion for teaching kids and watching them grow!
Miss Ashley Isenhoff: Preschool/Musical Theatre Instructor
Miss Ashley has been performing with Civic Theatre and Circle Theatre for 10 years where she has had many lead roles such as Leisel, Little Red Riding Hood and Scout. She was also the dance captain for Annie, the Musical.
Ashley has trained locally in ballet, tap, jazz and lyrical and loves singing, acting, and playing the piano. She is the eldest of seven and has always enjoyed being the “director." Miss Ashley is thrilled to work with such talented young students!
Miss Sarah Marley: Ballet & Pointe Instructor
Miss Sarah was born on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands, training in the Cecchetti Method. She continued her training with the Orlando Ballet School and was accepted into the trainee program at age fourteen, performing in the corps de ballet alongside the professionals. She was invited to join the company in 2004 and danced with them for the next six seasons. That year she became part of the Orlando Ballet School faculty, teaching ballet, pointe, and conditioning classes. Miss Sarah has danced with the San Diego Ballet, Company C Contemporary Ballet, the San Diego Opera, and Smuin Ballet. Miss Sarah joined the Grand Rapids Ballet in 2019 and is in her 4th season with the company.
Miss Riley Teunis: Preschool Instructor
Miss Riley has been dancing for 9 years training in ballet, pointe, jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and modern. She is an Integrity Dance Arts alumni and participated in many programs including the Outreach Team Captain, Demonstrator Program, and Joy in Motion Coach. Miss Riley studied Dance and Elementary Education at Calvin University and is planning on continuing her studies at Grand Valley University. Miss Riley is also a children’s director at a local church. She is excited for this year and to continue to share her love for dance with students.
Miss Jocelyn Metcalf: Tap Instructor
Miss Jocelyn is a senior student who has been training for the past 13 years at Integrity Dance Arts. She is trained in the styles of ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, modern, lyrical, pointe, and musical theatre. She has been a part of the IDA demonstrator program for 5 years as well as a Joy In Motion coach. She has also received further training at Camp Revolution in Dallas, TX. Jocelyn has been a guest choreographer for StageGr’s productions of The Little Mermaid and Willy Wonka.
Miss Elle VanderPloeg: Jazz Instructor
Miss Elle has been dancing for 13 years training in ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip hop and pointe. She is an IDA alumni and participated in many programs such as Captain for the Outreach Team, demonstrator program and Joy In Motion coach. Miss Elle is studying Business Administration at GRCC and is excited to continue teaching at her home studio and inspire the next generation of dancers.
Miss Makayla Fisher: Jazz and Lyrical Instructor
Miss Mak is a Metro Detroit native who has trained in various dance styles for the past 16 years. Her most recent accomplishments include winning back to back National Dance Alliance titles in 2021 and 2022 in the DII Team performance catagory with her team at Davenport University. As a current student at DU, Miss Mak is a third year member of the dance team as well as a student in the nursing program. She is also a small group leader with the InterVarsity Ministries chapter at DU. She is enthusiastic about sharing her passions with the next generation of dancers.
Miss Yesenia Gomez: Hip Hop Instructor
Yesenia "Yessy" Gomez is a first generation Hispanic-American & Grand Rapids native who is a staple in the Midwest dance community. She spent her adolescent years traveling, teaching, choreographing and training from some of the industry's best including Al Gilbert, Doug Caldwell, HipHopConnXion, Gigi Torres, Rhapsody and Glenn Douglas Packard to name a few. She was a Chicago finalist for the Beyonce UK & Spain tour in 2007 and received airtime on Fox's "So You Think You Can Dance" in it's early seasons. Yesenia began Vizion Talent Group in 2015 to help dancers and artists prepare for a career in the arts. It was the recipient of 2 Art Prize juror's awards in 2016 for their collaboration with Cultura Collective. She can be seen dancing in the new BET movie "Block Party" filmed in her hometown.
